I feel confident enough to say that we – as in the creative ones – experience a deep fulfillment when we’ve been able to inspire our audience with our art. If our work made them laugh we laugh with them, if it inspired them to live life more mindfully we sleep better at night and if it gave them goosebumps our hearts smile of satisfaction.

The subtle, yet powerful energy of art is a sacred one. Not everyone feels they have to dedicate their life towards sharing art – and that’s cool – but you did choose to! It takes heaps of commitment, motivation, perseverance and deeply rooted love towards the arts to pull off a successful career/business in this field.

 

We are blessed with the profession the universe has provided.

 

But like all jobs, at times we feel that we need a push in the right direction or a reminder of why we do what we do. We feel the desire to fill up our inspiration tanks and set our mind to different goals. And this is a very healthy, very logical (next) step in any life path.

I always see heads nod of acknowledgment whenever I repeat the famous words: your mind can be either your best friend or your worst enemy. Everyone’s nodding because we’ve all experienced this, all in our own ways.

I love how the Buddha has phrased it: Your worst enemy cannot harm you as much as your own unguarded thoughts. Our mind, filled with thousands of thoughts per second all leaving an imprint on our state. On our state of mind and ultimately our state of being.

Imagine all those thousands of thoughts being negative or even just half of them. Quite an impact would that have no? However, you’d be surprised how many of us struggle with unhelpful thoughts on a daily, heck, secondly-base…

It would be unrealistic to say get rid of them all, maybe they are even an inspiration for your art (kudos to you because that means you are transforming them!). However, here I am, promoting a healthy mind as a foundation. As a base to grow from.
