Don’t we all have those days where we feel a bit empty?
We’re not necessarily tired, neither are we hungry (we all know how hungry can make us hangry? you know what I mean right?)
It’s just nah…
Then we know it’s time to fuel ourselves. Not with cookies, but with challenges. And with challenges, I mean small – meaningful – activities that will inspire, motivate and remind us to stay true to who we are and who we are for those around us.
This ain’t homework, this is soul work
Before going heads-on like a bull sensing a red waving flag into this challenge. There’s something I would love to suggest you do before.
If you love mood-trackers, bullet-journaling, statistics or anything involving proof of change I’m sure you are going to love this too. No stress, I’m not going to provide you a worksheet with tasks where you can reflect on every day’s challenge…
This ain’t homework, this is soul work. Mmmm, I’m loving that phrase, so it’s on repeat!
I’m taking into consideration that everyone has their own schedule to deal with. I want to this 4-week program to be manageable, light and feel like a breeze rather than ‘another’ addition to our sometimes-endless to-do list.
Let me be clear, I have no negative judgment towards self-reflection (worksheets). I actually believe it’s an incredible technique for personal growth and becoming more mindful of habits. However, for this challenge, I’m going to ask you to create a personal Bliss Book; Dance Directory or Compliment Case.
Uh-uh, I like my alliterations and I possibly could think of 5 more, but won’t bother you with those right now.
So, what do I mean by Compliment Case?
I’m speaking of a file or folder where you archive positive (and positive only!) feedback you receive from others. These are the diamonds you can look at and cherish whenever you are feeling down or need a motivation-boost.
They’ll get your booty shaking and your soul blissing, and let’s be honest, we’ve all got time for that!
Another reason I suggest such a collection is because I believe everything and everyone is connected.
Our state of mind and body has without a doubt effect on our surroundings. To assemble these compliments is like accumulating hard-core evidence of how your existence is of indispensable value. And moreover, how meaningful it can be to really give yourself the love and care it deserves.
Unquestionably, practicing self-care is not only beneficial to yourself, it is indirectly also beneficial for other people.
Self-care is not ego-gratification, -pumping or -boosting.
The self in self-care is layered beyond the one of the Ego. Let that be crystal clear.

To be more specific: Physical; Emotional; Mental; Intellectual; Spiritual; Social & Practical Self-Care.
And of each so-called category, there are 4 variations of challenges. Each day of the week a different category you could say, for 4 whole weeks! Yiihooo personal development here I come!
